Mothers and daughters bond at boot camp for women

TARPON SPRINGS (Bay News 9) -- Some ladies in Pinellas County are ditching the air conditioningand clean gym towels for dirt and grime in the great outdoors.
The North Pinellas Adventure Boot Camp for Women is giving mothersand daughters a chance to build relationships and their bodies.
"It's like you are being a kid again, I mean, you are outside,you are getting dirty, you're getting sweaty, you know; it's reallyfun." participant Karen Florin said.
Karen and her daughter, Logan, are one of the many pairs of mothersand daughters getting fit at the boot camp.
"We both help each other out; it's a good supportsystem," Logan said.
Other teams say the camp is also easing tension in their mother anddaughter relationship.
"We laugh together, and we don't argue for a full hour,"participant Linda Laguna said. "We get along, and I think wefound the humor in each other's personality that we didn't findbefore."
