ALDO Assistant Manager Tabitha Brennan explained that this ALDO isa liquidation store, which means customers get great shoes cheaperhere.
“Peek-a-boo toes with wedges are a hot seller,” Brennansaid. “Women of all ages love high heels. It makes them feelgood to get a shoe they can wear out to dinner. We take thecustomer and sit and talk with them about what they want. Comfort,color and style are important.”
And it’s not just about the ladies at ALDO. The line ofmen’s shoes is extensive. Customers sometimes bring inclothing to match to the shoes, and also drop coin over accessorieslike belts and even watches for men and women.
“Men’s extended toes are big,” Brennan added.“And m en’s white shoes are a big seller.”
She held up an impressive pair and pointed to the original $110price tag.
“They’re on sale here for $49.95 and are knocked down30 percent more to $35,” she said.
And, yes, those amazing flats are everywhere and so much fun.Nowadays, anything goes, which means flat shoes can be just asglamorous and stylish as heels, but more comfortable and easier onthe spine.
But those stilettos call from the corner, and many a sensiblefemale in sensible shoes has been known to lose her mind and buythem.
There’s something to that saying, “It’s not howyou feel; it’s how you look. And you look mahvelous!”
