Law & Disorder: 3 men arrested in street shoe robbery

Kimba Sadikou, 38, had been selling shoes from his car in the 5400block of Norwood Avenue early Monday when a man tried to snatch apair of shoes through the passenger window. Sadikou grabbed theshoes back and the man left but returned with two others andpointed a handgun at the salesman before taking a pair of high-topNike Jordan shoes. As he walked away, the gunman fired severalshots at Sadikou's car, the police report said.
After the men fled in a car, Sadikou, who was uninjured, met withpolice who heard the shooting. A few minutes later, the car wasstopped on Moncrief Road, and the shoes were found inside. Sadikoulater identified the men.
A handgun matching the one used in the robbery was found about 100yards from where the car was pulled over, according to the policereport.
Quincy Donta Schofield, 26, of the 2400 block of Mark Avenue wascharged with armed robbery and aggravated assault with a deadlyweapon. Brady Edmonds Jr., 30, of the 1400 block of West 13thStreet and Anthony Lavar Wilson, 24, of the 1000 block of FrazierStreet were charged with armed robbery.

Security video helps nab tattooed bandit
Film of a tattooed bandit who held up a Neptune Beach drugstorelast week has led to an arrest, police said.
Steven M. Dodson, 40, of Atlantic Beach was charged in the Dec. 17holdup of the Walgreens at 406 Atlantic Blvd. A police report saidthe robbery occurred when a man stuck a gun to an employee's neck,grabbed $115 from a register and fled from the store about 1:20a.m.
Security video showed the gunman had tattoos on both arms from hiswrist to near his shoulders. It also identified a detailed T-shirthe was wearing. The video was shown on local television news andpolice got two tips about a suspect, Police Chief David Sembachsaid.
Jacksonville police, who had an outstanding robbery warrant forDodson, later arrested him and the Neptune charge was added,Sembach said.
Dodson is being held in jail without bail.
