Campers Rescue Women from West River

Two women from Massachusetts are safe after they were thrown fromtheir water tubes.
Vermont State Police say two women in their 60s were tubing on theWest River in Townshend Sunday night, when they fell behind thegroup. The swift water then threw the women from their tubes.Neither one had a life jacket on and they screamed for help. Somecampers at the Bald Mountain Campground heard the cries for helpand jumped in the river and rescued the women.
Police say the women were cold and scared but otherwise OK.
