Corporate giveaways, solutions create expanding niche market

What used to be a mere niche market for corporate giveaways andbusiness solutions have expanded so fast that it has now created athriving industry of its own.
This was revealed by general manager Raquel Z. Romero of eventsorganizer Worldexco, which was partly responsible for the rise ofthis lucrative industry over the past 20 years.
“Over that period, Worldexco has seen the enormous rise inthe number of companies and products catering specifically to theever-expanding corporate gifts and solutions market, for which theCorporate Giveaways and Corporate Solutions expositions have beenconceived,” Romero said.
Corporate Giveaways is an annual buyers’ show on businessgifts, premiums, promotional ideas, and merchandise incentives,while Corporate Solutions is a trade exhibit on marketing supportservices, business solutions, office equipment, supplies anduniforms, and furniture and fixtures.
Both Corporate Giveaways 2008 and Corporate Solutions 2008 will beheld at the World Trade Center Metro Manila at 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily on July 31 to August 2.
The longest-running and most successful buyer’s show,Corporate Giveaways 2008 is now on its 21st year, and CorporateSolutions 2008 on its fifth.
“The expo’s number of participants and their productsare significantly growing, indicating a huge corporate market thatextends all the way to MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises)and end-users,” Romero explained.
“Yet, many of the products and services involved in corporategiveaways and solutions are also used by corporate firms and MSMEsto support, enhance or drive their consumer marketing, aside fromtheir B2B promotional activities,” Romero added.
Such innovative products and services will be exhibited for retail,wholesale and advance orders during the 3-day twin events, whereadmission is free.
Specifically, Corporate Giveaways will showcase advertisingspecialties, awards and trophies, bags and wallets, balloondécor, caps and headgears, CEO gifts, Christmas giveaways,cups, flasks and mugs, desktop accessories, diaries, organizers andcalendars, luggage, novelties, paper products, personalelectronics, stationery, personalized scents, stoneware, toys,t-shirts, jackets and garments, umbrellas, wines and spirits,writing instruments, and many hard-to-find items and good bargains.
On the other hand, Corporate Solutions will feature audio-visualdevices, badge and registration systems, billboards and signage,business solutions, corporate uniforms, credit and financingfacilities, hotels and resorts, software and hardware solutions,office appliance and equipment, POS (point-of-sale) systems,package and printing services, publications, real estate, and websolutions, among many others.
