According to Where to Eat in Canada, that appears to be thecase. Were it not for the fact that such poorly researched bookscan affect tourism and the entire economic health of the city, it would hardly be worth considering, but a mention in such a guidecan be hugely beneficial to a restaurant and to the entire city.
"Some travelers build their whole vacation on good eating,"according to David Seabrook, who manages tourism in Fredricton,N.B.

Not that this newspaper should be taken as a definitive sourceeither, but we can safely say we have more knowledge of restaurantsin town than Where to Eat in Canada, and so we'll mention only afew in the central district, because that's where many are located. And that's the area, after all, where you can feel confident of getting an excellent meal -- if one restaurant is full orunavailable, hungry diners will never be disappointed by going nextdoor or down the street.
So here, in no particular order, are just a few of the highlyrecommended restaurants in central London worth trying: On theFork, David's Bistro, The Only on King, Waldo's on King, BraywickBistro, the Black Trumpet, Mint, Tru, La Casa, Chancey Smith's,Amici, Marienbad, Thaifoon, Garlic's, the Tasting Room, Budapest,Auberge du Petit Prince, Jewel of India, Curry Garden, Santorini,Savvy, Tanakaya, Blue Ginger, Oscar Taylor's, Bertoldi's, Michael'son the Thames, A Taste of India, London Grill, Armouries Grille,Massey's . . .
