Onions pens Durham deal extension

Durham fast bowler Graham Onions has signed a new deal at theRiverside keeping him at the club until 2011.
The 25-year-old has been a regular in the Durham attack and headcoach Geoff Cook was delighted with Onions' decision to remain withthe club.
"We are really pleased that Graham has chosen to stay especiallyafter a lot of interest from other counties," Cook told theofficial website.
"He is one of the most promising young bowlers in the country."
Onions was also joined in agreeing a new deal with fellow bowlersMark Davies and Liam Plunkett, and Cook believes having a core oflocal players has been key in Durham's recent success.
"To be able to boast an effective bowling attack made up of locallads, which include Liam Plunkett and Mark Davies, reflects well onthe area," he said.
