Rob Stern is the number one cook at his family get-togethers. These events usually occur at the home of his grandparents, Caroline and Leo Barta, in the Pine Forest area. Crowds of relatives and friends gather around the table asking, "What did Rob prepare?" He often stirs up warm Mexican cuisine using spicy peppers and garlic.

Pinto beans, a popular Mexican dish, is taken to a higher level when cilantro and jalapeno are added. Try Rob's salsa and sauce for a smooth but spicy accompaniment.
